Put That Thing Back Where It Came From Or So Help Me.

When it comes to musicians,
Somehow John Mayer never fails to impress me.
The simplicity of the chords,
Mixed with the richness of melody and a smooth guitar rift,
Backed with a simple but solid band,
Topped off with brilliant lyrics,
His songs are easy to like and easier to fall in love with.

Now I know this song is kinda kinky.
Ok, very kinky.
But it's still beautiful and has a good melody behind it.
Kinda Jason Mraz-ish
With the corny lyrics
And poppish tunes.

We got the afternoon
You got this room for two
One thing I've left to do
Discover me
Discovering you

One mile to every inch of
Your skin like porcelain
One pair of candy lips and
Your bubblegum tongue

And if you want love
We'll make it
Swim in a deep sea
Of blankets
Take all your big plans
And break 'em
This is bound to be awhile

Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands)
Your body is a wonderland

Something 'bout the way the hair falls in your face
I love the shape you take when crawling towards the pillowcase
You tell me where to go and
Though I might leave to find it
I'll never let your head hit the bed
Without my hand behind it

You want love?
We'll make it
Swim in a deep sea
Of blankets
Take all your big plans
And break 'em
This is bound to be awhile

Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonder (I'll use my hands)
Your body is a wonderland

Damn baby
You frustrate me
I know you're mine all mine all mine
But you look so good it hurts sometimes

Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonder(I'll use my hands)
Your body is a wonderland
Your body is a wonderland

-The last two years of her life were the most difficult. She was bedridden after small successive strokes; she could not speak but she was still cognisant. Every night she would wait for me to sit by her to tell her of my day’s activities and to read her favourite poems. Then she would sleep.
I have precious memories of our 63 years together. Without her, I would be a different man, with a different life. She devoted herself to me and our children.
She was always there when I needed her. She has lived a life full of warmth and meaning.
I should find solace in her 89 years of a life well lived. But at this moment of the final parting, my heart is heavy with sorrow and grief.-

I'd catch a grenade for you.

No time to update.
As is like like like like tomorrow tomorrow.
10 10 10 was an interesting date.
I wonder what will happen on the days that follow.

I find this song so catchy.
Yes, I know the lyrics are corny.
Even though Bruno Mars isn't my cup of tea,
Listening to this song makes me happy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Funny how you tend to put God aside when things are going well.
But you pray desperado prayers when your world turns into hell.

You ask him where he was the whole time,
The shadow proves the sunshine.

You.

Eh
Why you oh.
Tiba-tiba like that.
Ask me la if you want to know something.
I have no idea what's going through your mind.
Please?

When shit happens,
it all comes out at the same time.

You - Switchfoot

There's always something
In the way
There's always something
Getting through
But it's not me
it's You

Sometime's ignorance
Rings true
But hope is not in
What I know
Not in me
It's in You

It's all I know

And I find peace
When I'm confused
I find hope when
I'm let down
Not in me
But in You

I hope to lose myself
For good
I hope to find it in the end
Not in me
It's You
It's all I know

This part of my life. This part right here. I call it growing up.

"Smile"

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Michael Jackson.
But this song got to me.
Its been awhile since I've listened to it.
Funnily enough, awhile also since I've smiled genuinely.

What Sam L Radaha posted on Fb recently woke me up.
Maybe its time to invest in myself for a change.
Maybe its time to appreciate life a little more.
Maybe its time to be content.
Maybe its time to thank God for his blessings.
Maybe its time to,
Smile? :)

For someone with such a messed up life.
MJ certainly wrote a brilliant song.
But then again, maybe that's why he did what he did.
He wanted to smile.

Reminds me of The Pursuit Of Happyness.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-Christopher Gardner- (The Pursuit Of Happyness - 2006)

"It was right then that I started thinking
About Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence.
And the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there?
That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue
And maybe we can actually never have it.
No matter what
How did he know that?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So let me ask you.
Are you happy?

Jon.

Why its you.

You are the one which stands out among the rest

You're not afraid to be yourself

Your smile makes my day

You tolerate my variety of moods and stupid ideas

You never take advantage of my forgetfulness

You're patient

You're beautiful

You're my best friend

You're confident of yourself

You've got a warm heart

And that's why

Here's the problem.

Who. Are. You?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The world laughs at you for being different.
I say you laugh at them for being normal.

Jon.
